North Bass Island May 3, 2004
I was over on North Bass Island for a Baptism at the chapel there. It was the first christening there in 25 years.
Many of the vineyards are gone, i.e., the grapevines and stakes have all been pulled out. By the time the job is complete, 84,000 metal stakes will have been pulled out of the ground.
The weather had just improved after 3 days of heavy rain and winds, so it was a great opportunity to take a few pictures. There is more information about this day at North Bass Island in the Webmaster's Log entry for May 8, 2004.
