Brain Cuiffo Violates Probation and Starts Up To 180 Days Detention
Brian Cuiffo, who committed numerous acts of vandalism on Middle Bass Island in 2004, has apparently violated the terms of his probation and has been placed in the CROSSWAEH Community Based Correctional Facility located at 3055 St. Rte. 100, Tiffin, Ohio, for a term of up to 180 days.

Defendant On August 30, 2007, this matter came on for Dispositional Hearing on the probation violation admitted by Defendant. Defendant was present in Open Court with counsel Joe O'mally and James Sammon. Mark E. Mulligan appeared on behalf of the State of Ohio.
Upon consideration of the remarks of Defendant, Defendant's counsel, the State, and the report of the Adult Probation Department, the Court hereby continues the Defendant's probation subject to the previous conditions and with the following additional conditions:
RESIDENTIAL;
The defendant shall serve 180 days in the Ottawa County Detention Facility. "The defendant shall not receive credit for any time previously incarcerated in this case to satisfy this condition of probation."
The Defendant shall be committed to the residential sanction with placement in the Crosswaeh Community Based Correctional Facility located at 3055 St. Rte. 100, Tiffin, Ohio, for a term of up to 180 days. The Defendant shall maintain participation in good faith. Removal, elimination or termination from the facility for any reason other than satisfactory completion of the programs will be considered a violation of the Defendant's probation conditions and the Defendant will be arrested and brought before this Court to determine an appropriate disposition of the matter.
You shall be held in the custody of the Ottawa County Sheriff until such time as the evaluation and/or admission process is completed. The Sheriff of Ottawa County is hereby ordered to hold and convey you to and from the assigned residential facility as will be directed by the Ottawa County Adult Probation Department.
The Defendant shall enter and successfully complete the CROSSWAEH C.B.C.F. program operated by the Oriana House, Inc. The Defendant is further ordered that leaving the CROSSWAEH C.B.C.F. without authorization, including failure to return after being granted temporary leave, will constitute a violation of Ohio Revised Code Section 2921.34, Escape, and will cause an independent subsequent prosecution.
Defendant is ordered to pay all costs of prosecution and any fees permitted pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 2929.18(A)(4) for which judgment is awarded to Ottawa County and against Defendant.
Bond is hereby terminated and the Defendant is placed in to the custody of the Ottawa County Sheriffs Department for incarceration.
The Ottawa County Clerk of Courts shall deliver a file-stamped copy of this Journal.
