When Did Put-in-Bay Harbor Move from Middle Bass to South Bass?

Then navigate to zip code 43446, which is Middle Bass Island. You can then zoom, rotate and tilt the view of the islands to get a good view of the bay between Middle Bass and Sugar Island. The aerial image will even show the shoal that used to connect the islands.

Thinking about the area between Sugar Island and Middle Bass Island as a large deep water bay used quite a bit for 18th century logging, as well as a stopping place for sailing ships crossing the lake, provides a fascinating perspective.
